The algorithm. If you are using social media to grow your business, it’s probably something you hear about a lot. I know for myself, using social media can be very discouraging when it is found that you only reach about 5% of your followers on each post. Relying strictly on social media is rarely a good thing.
As a business, you need to think outside the box in order to reach not only your customers, but prospects as well. Whether it’s showing gratitude to thank existing clients and partners for working with you, or reaching out to someone you would like to know further, sending a handwritten note can be one of the most powerful ways to get in front of them. You’re probably thinking, “But…it’s 2022, who picks up a pen and sends a card to a client?”
So, I ask you a question back, “If you are doing exactly the same thing as your competition, what sets you a part from them? If everyone else is filling up inboxes and social media platforms, how are you standing out?”
Handwritten notes demonstrate that you truly value relationships and want to keep building upon what you’ve already started. Almost all the time, a handwritten note is going to be opened and seen. The algorithm can’t mess with them, they will be delivered to your recipients, and WILL be read. Business is about building relationships and standing out from the crowd. While everyone continues to post into thin air, take some time to pick up a pen and thank your customers, reach out to your employees, and build real, meaningful relationships.
